Each team is a little kitchen crew — Junior Chefs (older kids) leading Mini Chefs (younger kids) through a mission of food, story, and friendship.
Small teams, clear roles, big fun. Here's how a Taste the World team is built.
An older kid who leads the crew — organizes the mission, keeps everyone on track, and speaks for the team at the showcase.
Each Junior Chef owns one part of the mission — research, creative, performance, or cooking — and helps the Head Chef lead the team.
Younger kids who learn by doing — they research, draw, rehearse, and cook alongside the Junior Chefs.
Junior Chefs lead the mission — not just the cooking. Every team picks a fun name and emoji, like The Tiramisu Kitchen 🍰 or Crew Sushi 🍣.
Each team pulls a country or theme from the mission jar — that's their world for the next few months.
Where is it? What do they eat? Why? Teams dig into history, geography, and culture.
Review the foods, stories, and fun facts from every previous Taste the World episode and event — you'll need it for the quiz round!
How will your team share the story? A poster, a talk, a skit, a stage play, a song, a comic, a video — anything goes. Pick what excites your crew.
The whole crew prepares the dish together — for everyone to taste.
Each team shares their country and dish — in whatever creative form they chose. The biggest chunk of the score.
A fast-paced buzzer round of questions about every dish, country, and story from past videos and events. Quick fingers and good memory both help!
Showcase (80) + Quiz (20) = 100 points. Crown the winning crew, hand out the gift card, and celebrate every team's journey.
When Junior Chefs teach, they learn twice. When Mini Chefs are taught by someone closer to their age, they listen differently — and dream bigger. That mix is the secret sauce of Taste the World.
We're starting simple — Junior Chefs teaching Mini Chefs one dish at a time. As we grow, teams will take on longer, deeper missions, and the whole community will come together to share, celebrate, and taste the world.
